Hollywood Airbnb stay check
Hollywood is a neighborhood of the City of Los Angeles, so the City home sharing rules apply. West Hollywood is a different city with its own rules, and Deedlore does not cover it yet. Make sure you know which one your listing is in.
1. The City registration number
Listings in the City of Los Angeles must show a City Home-Sharing Registration Number, and it should match the address. Registrations are for a host's primary residence and are generally limited to 120 days a year unless extended.
2. Permit history
Older Hollywood buildings often have layers of work over the years. The permit history shows what was permitted and finished.
3. Hazard zones
Hillside areas can fall in fire severity zones, and some parcels sit in landslide or earthquake fault zones. The report shows each, with the source and date.
4. The area
The report shows nearby police report counts by year and type. They describe the surrounding area, not any person, and are not a safety rating.
How Deedlore helps
The Stay Check gives you the full property report plus a manual review of the City registration, emailed within 2 business days. Deedlore describes properties, not people.
Deedlore covers addresses in the City of Los Angeles only. Reports summarize public records as of the date shown, may be incomplete, describe properties and not people, and are not legal advice. Deedlore is not a consumer reporting agency, and reports may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, insurance or tenancy. Deedlore is not affiliated with Airbnb, Vrbo or any booking platform.

Common questions
Does Deedlore check the host?
No. Deedlore describes properties, not people. It does not show host names or run background checks.
Does a registered rental mean a safe stay?
No. A registration shows what the City has on file as of the date checked. It is not a finding that a stay will be safe or good.
Which addresses are covered?
Addresses in the City of Los Angeles only. Other cities, including Santa Monica and Beverly Hills, have their own rules.
