Checking a Playa Vista Airbnb or Vrbo before you book
Playa Vista is covered by Deedlore
Playa Vista is a neighborhood of the City of Los Angeles, so Deedlore's Stay Check covers it. The Stay Check looks up the address in the City's home sharing records and adds the full property report: permits, inspections, zoning, nearby police report counts and hazard zones.
Home-sharing in the City of Los Angeles: what the City requires
Under the City of Los Angeles Home-Sharing Ordinance, as set out in the City Planning FAQ, a host must register and the rental must be the host's primary residence, the home where they live more than six months of the year. Home-sharing is limited to 120 days a year unless the host qualifies for extended home-sharing. A valid registration number must appear on the listing, and a pending number can be used once the application is submitted. Stays advertised for 30 nights or more are exempt from these rules.
What the Stay Check does for a Playa Vista stay
- Checks whether the City shows the address as registered for home sharing, with permit type, status and expiry.
- Checks that the registration number on the listing belongs to this address and is active.
- Includes the full report so you can see the permits, hazard zones and surroundings.
Not every nearby address is in the City of Los Angeles
Marina del Rey is mostly unincorporated Los Angeles County, and Culver City, Inglewood and Santa Monica are separate cities with their own rules. See our pages for Marina del Rey, Culver City, Inglewood and Santa Monica.
