Checking a Westchester Airbnb or Vrbo before you book
Westchester is covered by Deedlore
Westchester, the neighborhood near LAX, is part of the City of Los Angeles, so Deedlore's Stay Check covers it. Travelers often book Westchester stays for airport access, which makes it worth confirming the home is registered and that the listing number matches the address.
Home-sharing in the City of Los Angeles: what the City requires
Under the City of Los Angeles Home-Sharing Ordinance, as set out in the City Planning FAQ, a host must register and the rental must be the host's primary residence, the home where they live more than six months of the year. Home-sharing is limited to 120 days a year unless the host qualifies for extended home-sharing. A valid registration number must appear on the listing, and a pending number can be used once the application is submitted. Stays advertised for 30 nights or more are exempt from these rules.
What the Stay Check does for a Westchester stay
- Checks whether the City shows the address as registered for home sharing, with permit type, status and expiry.
- Checks that the registration number on the listing belongs to this address and is active.
- Includes the full report: permits, inspections, zoning, nearby police report counts, and fire, flood and earthquake zone checks.
